Interior Designer Southampton, NY

Ginger Lemon Indigo designs considered, lived-in interiors for homeowners across Southampton and the wider Hamptons. The work suits shingle-style beach houses, Colonial Revivals, and historic village homes. The Studio specializes in full-home renovations, as well as home furnishing and styling.

A Southampton home asks a particular kind of attention. The architecture often sits within historic districts: cedar shingles, gambrel roofs, deep porches, generous glazing. Coastal weather asks for finishes that wear with salt air and full summer light.

What We Bring to Southampton

For a family's Southampton home, we lifted dark espresso floors, laid new oak through the family room, and traded heavy wall colors for soft grays and coastal blues. Washed linen, pale oak, undyed wool, and unfinished metal: a short material palette repeated room to room, chosen to wear beautifully with salt air and full summer light.

Southampton Project:
A Coastal Transformation

From the family room's sand-colored sofas and rope lounge chair to the duck-egg blue-green cabinetry of the kitchen and the blush walls of the primary bedroom, each room takes the same quiet approach, chosen to wear in rather than impress.

Ginger Lemon Indigo designs comfortable, considered, and beautifully functioning homes for families, empty nesters, and busy professionals — spaces that are modern in sensibility, honest in material and warm in character. Barbra Fordyce founded the Studio on a simple but deeply held belief, that home is not an aesthetic exercise. Having lived across the Netherlands, London, and the Connecticut coast, she brings a global eye and a genuine instinct for what makes a space feel truly livable.
